mortalkombat1.jpgMartial arts action star Jean-Claude Van Damme is going to make an appearance in the upcoming Mortal Kombat 1 in the form of a character skin for Johnny Cage. The game's first DLC Kombat Pack will include the skin along with six playable kombatants and five Kameo (assist) fighters.

According to Mortal Kombat co-creators Ed Boon and John Tobias, publisher Midway originally wanted Van Damme to be in the original Mortal Kombat in 1992, but it just never panned out. The planned character would eventually become Johnny Cage in the series. Martial Artist Daniel Pesina would portray the character in the first two games instead.

Mortal Kombat 1 is scheduled to release this September, with the Kombat Pack available at launch.

I like this happening. Maybe it should have happened years earlier but it's ok. I don't think I have seen a whole movie of his but have seen some of him.

Might have a couple more known celebrities to be in it. She might be Kitana if wandering.
