Creative director Ed Boon walked us through a live demo of Mortal Kombat X during the Sony press conference at this year's E3 convention.Throughout the demo, a lot of new information about the game was revealed.
- There will be several new gameplay features and characters
- New character D'Vorah is half human and half insect
- Cassie Cage is the daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade
- The game's story will span from the end of MK(2011) to roughly 25 years into the future
- New fighting arenas the Cove and Outworld Marketplace
- The X-Ray meter has been refined
- The main antagonist will be a fun, surprise returning character

I've watched this video quite a few times and I don't know if anyone else caught this but when talking about the variations, he mentioned Raiden's name. Did anyone else hear it cuz I sure did. Did he give up a future character or was this just an example?

I've watched that video at least six to tens times and I just now heard Raiden's name.

I think the context in which he used Raiden's name was just an example for previous games.
