(DEBUNKED) Kiefer Sutherland Involved in Next Mortal Kombat Game?

IGN has posted details from a recent interview with Kiefer Sutherland where he reveals his involvement in an upcoming Mortal Kombat game.

UPDATE: Kiefer Sutherland is NOT in Mortal Kombat X

Around the 9:00 minute mark, Ed Boon confirms that Kiefer Sutherland is not in MKX.

In a recent interview actor Kiefer Sutherland confirmed his involvement in an upcoming Mortal Combat game. While discussing his role as Big Boss in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Sutherland said, �I did Mortal Kombat and that's such a huge game, but it�s so not like [MGS5]."

Sutherland's been working on Metal Gear Solid for over a year, but said he completed Mortal Kombat "pretty quickly compared to [MGS5].??? He did not specify his role.

Warner Brothers was unreachable for comment, and did not respond to email inquiries about Sutherland's involvement and NetherRealm's future projects. The Mortal Kombat developer most recently created Injustice: Gods Among Us.

I believe that Kiefer Sutherland may be voicing Shinnok in the next game, since Ed Boon has hinted at MK10 being based on the events after MK9.

Really curious about his role in MK.
I'm a big fan of his so I'm pretty excited... Though to me David Hayter will always be Big Boss/Snake.

Hope not as Shao Kahn then that would mean he is confirmed. Keifer says Mortal Kombat is nothing like Metal Gear so has me believe it may not be adventure game may be wrong.

I definitely don't think it would be Shao Kahn. Sutherland has a very distinctive voice that doesn't sound like a warlord at all.

He does just do not want Shao Kahn to be in Mortal Kombat 10. Ones doing web series they were doing the new movie they were having a new character in movie to be included in Mortal Kombat 10 maybe it new character or not.

Shinnok probably but I think he could most definitely be the announcer, I just started watching 24 and he was creepy when he made the announcement at the beginning of the episodes....

Originally I was against him being Big Boss but since the older version of Big Boss had a different actor than Old Snake I think it's good that Hayter isn't Big Boss (so long as he is still Solid Snake in any possible upcoming games)

I think he could either be Shinnok or a new antagonist who's plans are foiled and then leads to MK4 or who works for Shinnok. I feel he should be both subboss and playable.

First of all i think it's very cool that a famous actor like Kiefer Sutherland will be a part of the MK legacy... my opinion is that he will be the story mode narrator.. it fits him better... but i would love him to narrate the endings of each character too!!!

He said done quickly compared to Metal Gear workin for over year so that seems like be longer than a characters voice so might be narrator. How long characters voice take never known on that?
