Warner Bros. has just sent over the official press release for Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition, revealing the release date of the game to be April 16th. Also included in the release is new information regarding the Collector's Edition, as well.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition and Release Date Revealed

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment today revealed details for the Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition. The package will be available in limited quantities at Gamestop and EB Games stores located in the United States and Canada for Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PlayStation?3 computer entertainment system. Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition is also confirmed to be available in North America beginning April 16 for Xbox 360, PS3 and the Wii U? system from Nintendo.

The Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition will retail for $149.99 and includes the game disc, exclusive Injustice: Gods Among Us Fight Stick featuring official artwork from the game and three exclusive skins based on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman from DC COMICS ? THE NEW 52. The Fight Stick is a light weight controller that boasts a non-skid foam underside, a lockout feature for the Start, Select and Guide buttons, as well as adjustable illumination for the buttons and joystick.

Accompanying the news is an image featuring all the contents of the Injustice: Gods Among Us Battle Edition, as well as a new image showcasing the contents of the Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector?s Edition, which will be sold separately for $99.99 at various retailers throughout North America for the Xbox 360 and PS3.

The United States version of the Injustice: Gods Among Us Collector?s Edition will include:
? Exclusive DC Collectibles statue featuring iconic characters Batman and Wonder Woman, the Fortress of Solitude, and the Last Son of Krypton?s escape ship

Nope, it's him.

I guess this kind of confirms that Doomsday will end up being the main boss for Injustice lol I can see it since Darkseid was in MKvsDC, I can't wait until April or for a demo but since I have a 360 I won't get a demo but PS3 will get one lol

I think he'll be a sub-boss. Truth be told I wouldn't be surprised if they went the Deadly Alliance route had the final boss switch between Batman and Superman depending on which faction the character supports....that or Darkseid....he'll probably fight like Shao Kahn (fingers crossed he stops fighting to taunt or strike a pose for a free hit).....

Well that would fine with me if Doomsday was the sub-boss and Darkseid was the main boss but not sure if I like Darkseid's new 52 costume:

I was alright with his new costume, while I miss the slightly sleeker look, I feel he always needed pants. In fact that was one of the very few things I was ok with in Annihilation was that they gave Kahn pants... those short-shorts look wierd on Darkseid and Shao Kahn...

I'm gonna miss the old looks for alot of characters but I'll get over sooner then later but yeah I agree with you, I've always felt that Shao Kahn needed a pair of pants because his "booty shorts" were kind of weird to me because he's the big bad boss and he's wearing some short shorts but on the other hand Goro is still wearing a thong so
