Please find enclosed a new video from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and NetherRealm Studios, featuring Kratos, the ruthless warrior from the multi-million unit-selling God of War? franchise. Armed with his signature weapons and superhuman strength, Kratos shows that he is well equipped to enter the Mortal Kombat arena and face off against some of the most skilled Mortal Kombat warriors. Through a partnership with Sony Computer Entertainment America, Kratos is a playable character available exclusively on the PlayStation?3 (PS3?) computer entertainment system version of the game which will also include the ability to play in Stereoscopic 3-D.

Mortal Kombat is the most brutal installment of the legendary fighting game to date and will be available on the PlayStation?3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360? video game and entertainment system from Microsoft on April 19, 2011. The game is being developed by NetherRealm Studios, led by Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon.

Today, the folks over at Gamespot have released a new gameplay trailer featuring PS3 guest character Kratos from the God of War series. In the video, you can clearly see that Kratos has retained many of his signature moves and weapons from the God of War games including Helios' Head and most notably, quicktime events. For anyone not familiar with the God of War games, quicktime events are a series of button presses that keep Kratos attacking. Hit the wrong button or not fast enough, and the string of attacks end.

While no fatality is shown, the video does end with Kratos' using the Nemean Cestus - two large lion-shaped gauntlets - in his x-ray attack.

haha wow it looks like he busted out Helios' head for a few of those combos, as much as I hated when I first heard Kratos was announced it actually seems like they might have done a pretty good job in transferring him into an MK game... too bad we didn't get to see a fatality

Yeah they did do a good job I am quite impressed....Though I can't help but feel like im going to run into ALOT of Kratos users online lol

Yeah he did look kind of dark almost fully black...but yeah that was Ermac.

lol yeah for sure... I definitely feel like online will consist mostly of Sub-Zero, Scorpion and Kratos, hopefully I'm pleasantly surprised though and get to fight the entire cast consistently .

Yeah me too...Because I love Scorp I just think he is an awesome character with a very tragic story...not only that but he plays really well... good pop ups, nice combo potential, fast as hell...But if every other fucking person I play online picks him it will kill it for me a bit lol....Then ill just have to stomp ass with Kabal.

Hey also I think that was Ermacs alt it looks SWEET.

Are the alternate costumes unlocked through the krypt or will these be DLC?

I think the klassic costumes are DLC...This will most likely be unlockable in the Krypt....This is my favorite alternate ive seen though he looks excellent.

In my opinion Kratos is a lame as bitch,which only newbie noobs will use and will exploit with super moves a lot.
