FDMK affiliate Inside MK has posted a quote from Italian magazine X360 where Mortal Kombat series co-creator Ed Boon reveals that special tag-team moves exclusive to certain pairing of characters, such as Scorpion and Sub-Zero, will be in the game. Boon also mentions the possibility of special tag-team moves for when Raiden is paired with Shao Kahn, suggesting that the emperor of Outworld may indeed be a playable character.
I kinda figured that there would be special tag teams, but could that who Shao Kahn thing just be an example? It's weird, first he's not playable, then he's playable. It's crazy!
I like the special tag team news but what if Shao Kahn is a 360 exclusive but Shao Kahn being an unplayable boss is better than having him playable. Unless Kahn it totally nurfed then its going to be insane. they want to bring the classic hard boss feel back, you want to take control of that? how many times in MKT or MKA did people play as Kahn? I never did unless its simply to destroy one of my friends online.

I agree. That was a good and bad thing about MK:T because you could play as the bosses on the PSone version, and the game would be unbalanced. I mean, I would not be upset if shao kahn wasn't playable. I mean, shang tsung and goro weren't playable til trilogy, and the only reason they were playable was because they wanted to have "one last 2D" mk game released for the past gen systems. Like in MvC3, Galactus is not playable. Also, if is playable, how are they gonna balance him out amongst the rest of the cast?
I mean, shang tsung and goro weren't playable til trilogy Ummm, Shang Tsung was playable in MKII. He's also playable in MK3
You know what? I typed too fast. I meant MKII but I said trilogy. Point is, I think it's good to have a couple of unselectable characters. Makes the game better and you can savor more.
