Fellow FDMK affiliate The Kombat Pavilion has decided to share with the MK kommunity a copy of the original Mortal Kombat movie script from 1994. According to Pavilion owner |{ombat, the original script has quite a few differences from the final cut of the movie. For example, there is a scene where Shang Tsung morphs into a cobra for an animality, and instead of Liu Kang hurling Reptile into the stone statue near the end of the movie, the two appear to be fighting in the Living Forest where Liu Kang throws him at a tree, resulting in Reptile becoming part of the forest itself (see below).If you have some free time and would like to read the script, you can download it in Microsoft Word format here.

The script for the actual movie that was made is better. I could have done a better job.

Seem's kind of weird to me, like it would be hard to understand. Some parts seem pretty fucking stupid, like a Captain turning into a rat? What the fuck!

I wrote a five-page Mortal Kombat screenplay that was better than that. That script looked like some 7-year-old came up with it.

Well remember they were trying to make available to a wide audience instead of making it good for a R/NC-17 audience....
