Unfortunately, if you've been waiting for a
Mortal Kombat game to finally be available for
Apple devices, this may not be the answer for you. The game has been available for less than a day, and already the first customer review isn't too flattering. Complaints range from disappearing/reappearing characters and clunky animations to a complete lack of a proper movelist explaining how special moves work on the touch screen.
This game feels like it was rushed to be out in time for holiday shopping. Characters randomly appearing in various areas of the screen is one of the biggest problems I saw. You can fire a projectile or even basic attack and have the other fighter teleport to another random screen location, sometimes getting hit there (by nothing), other times not at all. Close range attacks hit about 50% of the time that they should.
Another huge gap is that there is no move list to explain how the special button works for each fighter. If you're going to make short-cuts available, you need to explain them.
Animations are clunky and unfinished? which is amazing when you're porting over an existing title like this.
