UPDATE (September 23rd, 2010): Industrygamers.com has finally released the entire interview.Industrygamers.com is claiming that NetherRealm Studios executive producer Shaun Himmerick actually revealed at PAX that the studio currently has in its possession the rumored next-gen Sony Playstation Portable 2 hardware, and that they are currently looking at the console's engine for a possible portable version of Mortal Kombat (2011).
?We?re not launching day one on all consoles like that. We are looking at them; we have a PSP2 in the house and we?re looking at the engine, like what can it support. Always a big thing for us is the performance. We?re running at 60 fps, what can we do and do we have to build all the art assets over. We?re definitely looking at them. PSP2 looks like it?s a pretty powerful machine. We don?t have a 3DS system in house yet, but we?re looking to get one, and we?ll certainly look at what its power is.?

Wow. First the new backwards compatibility for PS3 that will enable PS2 games to be played and now PSP2! Sony is just brilliant...it'll be fun to be able to play Armageddon, Deadly Alliance, and all the others from the PS2 again...

How much PSP2? I want to get the PSP now they coming out with this. PSP2 I'll get if not too much, maybe better graphics.

Yahoo today has info on PSP2 and a picture of Raiden and someone else, so it looks like Mortal Kombat on the system.

Yes and no. If costs more that PSP Go, probably no....with a sloppy yes....
