MKast #8.
Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe associate producer
Hector Sanchez has also added a new developer's blog to the official worldscollide website. In the blog,
Hector discusses the new
Kombo Challenge training mode.
KOMBO CHALLENGE is inherently what the name implies: a series of challenging combos for each character. Upon selecting this mode, you will be given the option of choosing the character you would like to perform as, as well as choosing your opponent (awesome) and choosing your background (awesome).
The mode itself totally reminds me of some of the challenges that Shujinko had to endure in Konquest mode in Deception. It's a great mechanic to teach the player the possibilities of custom combos and the stringing together of special moves and Pro Moves. Did I mention that it is extremely challenging?!!! The combos have been designed with special input from Ed and the designers, as well as assistance from a few of the gameplay testers here at Midway Chicago.
