Videogame news leak website kotaku.com is claiming they've received inside information from a former Midway employee who worked on the game. According to this inside source, Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe will feature very little blood and no fatalities.HOW THE HELL CAN A MORTAL KOMBAT GAME HAVE NO FATALITIES???Now, if you're scratching your head as hard as I am right now, you probably have a good size bald spot forming and are most likely bleeding. While I hope this rumor is without a doubt false, it may explain why it's possible that comic book superheroes appear in the game. Seriously, how could you possibly decapitate superman? Last I checked, he was basically invincible.
I seem to die a little bit more inside every time I think about this. Let's hope it's not true. Say it isn't so Midway. Please, say it isn't so...

it would probably have finishers. instead of dismembering your opponent, you can banish him/her.

Boon's already confirmed in many interviews that there will be finishers of some sort. He's even hinted in a recent interview that MK characters may different rules concerning killing or being killed. I have a feeling the MK characters will be able to kill each other, but the DC characters. And the DC characters will just have some sort of spectacular non-lethal finishing moves.

I could see them doing maybe an unmasking of batman, followed by a severe beating. It seems like the 'fatalities' will always have to be dependent on the character who lost, rather than the one performing the move.
Not sure what they plan to say about superman being less than invincible. Kryptonite-toed boots and gloves for all? Heh. Or, maybe... does anyone know what color sun the outworld might have?

MK characters versus Superman makes sense because he's vulnerable to magic, but I'd like to know how they're going to explain DC characters versus Superman. Last I checked, Bruce Wayne is just a regular dude.
