southpark_asskicker.jpgIn case you haven't seen it yet, Comedy Central has added a new Mortal Kombat themed South Park flash game to its website called South Park Asskicker. The entire game borrows very heavily from Mortal Kombat. Each character has their own special moves and fatality, and the fighting arenas are South Park styled versions of their Mortal Kombat counterpart, such as the Netherrealm, Kombat Tomb, Armory, etc.

So far, the available characters are Kyle, Cartman, Jesus, Satan, Chef, Stan, and Kenny, with Butters and Mrs. Garrison coming soon. Each character's special moves will be very familiar to South Park fans, as well. Kyle whips Mr. Hanky, Chef turns into Darth Vader and slaps his opponent with a spatula, Cartman blows a flaming fart, etc. Their fatalities are equally outrageous, as well. For example, Cartman puts on his Hitler costume and calls in a bomber plane, while Kyle pulls out a chainsaw and chops up his opponent.

Since we probably won't be seeing much news about Mortal Kombat 8 until next year, I figured I'd post a news update about this. It's a fun, little game that's good for a laugh or two.

Click here to go to Comedy Central's website and play South Park Asskicker! I've also added it the the Extras section of the main menu. Enjoy!

Yeah, I saw it on Comedy Central during South Park and said oh shit when I saw The Kombat Tomb from MK2 in there, followed by UMK3 Hell. I was getting ready to hear about a lawsuit but the law says you can do parodies without getting into trouble.

You can parody as long as it doesn't hurt the property being parodied financially.
Hahaha, this is awesome. Great parody and I think the MK team would see the humour in this too. lol, I've only played as Cartman so far, but I'm going to try out the other characters now.
Holy Shit...i didn't know about this. I'm gonna go play in a few minutes Reiko - Rock

I think Midway should listen to Comedy Central more often Jade - Giggle
meh, i dont like this game the fighting is just so weird to me, same thing with the specials

Well dude, it's just a flash game. It's not like it's gonna be incredibly refined gameplay-wise.

i have played really well made flash fighters such as Dragon Fist 3, that game is fun to play, this, sadly doesnt appeal to me, but i think it is well made with the ideas and the fatalities are good
I can't play it, it still sounds like more fun than MK:A...
Not sure if anyone noticed, but Butters and Mrs. Garrison are now playable. Also, it seems like the developers fixed the arena selection glitch.
