The good folks over at IGN have added one more award to Mortal Kombat: Armageddon's already impressive tally. MKA has been given the honor of Best Fighting Game on the PS2 in their annual "Best of" awards for 2006. Oddly, there was no best fighting game category for the Xbox. I'm sure Armageddon would've took that award, as well, had there been one.

Yes, you're completely right FEAR. I really not like Armageddon because of the creepy Kreate-A-Fatality but if they think. But the prvious MK Games were better.

How can such a half-assed video game win an award, honestly. I think the Burger King games deserve a win more than MKA, MK8 better make up for it...

button mashers? play a top player in DOA or Tekken and see what button mashing will get you.
They should really just quit letting people who know nothing of fighting games give out these awards. MK has never come close to the level of tekken in balance or grace. I guess the guys at IGN spent as much time playing armageddon as Midway did testing it.
Tell them come see me and ill change their mind. MKA has more infinites than MKD.

Wait, what? How did that happen? I'm sure that there was a better fighting game released than MKA. Tekken: Dark Resurrection, there's one that should of won.

WTH was that roman guy..., anyway i didnt like tekken i can't understand the story line, plus to tell you the truth I like the Kreate A Fatality system (not more then then the old ones)i say good for midway for getting a fighting game reward
