FDMK utilizes the popular online chat utility Flashchat by Tufat.com. It is directly incorporated into the forum, so if you are currently a registered member, you may login to the chatroom with your forum username & password.
As the name suggests, the chatroom is driven by the Adobe Flash Player, so you will need to have the latest browser plugins installed on your computer. WARNING: Upon logging out of Flashchat, a small logout window opens to finish removing your chat session from the database, then closes a few seconds later. You MUST adjust your popup blocking software to allow FDMK to open popup windows. If this small window is prevented from opening, your session cannot be closed out properly and you will still appear to be logged in, even if you're not. This is extremely annoying. If you do not wish to allow FDMK to open popups, please make sure you click the "Logout" button in the top-right corner of the chatroom before exiting. This method will also end your chatroom session properly. Failure to use either method will result in a warning. If you still do not comply, you may be permanently banned from the chatroom. |

Age: You must be at least 13 years old to participate in the chatroom. If you are under the age limit, please get your parent's permission before entering. Language: Like the forum, mild profanity is acceptable and allowed. However, there is a difference between mild profanity and vulgarity. Abusive, sexually explicit, and/or racial comments will not be tolerated. Lets all be nice and try not to offend anybody. Flaming: Mild teasing is allowed, as long as the receiving party understands that it's not serious. However, strong personal attacks on another user is not acceptable. Advertising: Advertising of a website is permitted. However, repeated posting of a website or "begging" other members to join your website is not. Conduct: This website is public domain and we should all remember that there may be younger persons in the chatroom at any given time. Please conduct yourself in a respectable manner, and treat others exactly the way you would like to be treated. We reserve the right to remove any user from the chatroom at any given time. Users who consistently break the rules and/or cause problems for others, may be permanently banned from the chatroom. |

/backtime <minutes> : Shows the last minutes of the room's chat, including any chat text that was present before arrival to the room. (example: /backtime 5)
/clear : Clears the chat screen. This only affects your screen, not the screen of other users. /me <action> : Issues an IRC-like "action" to the chat. "/me" will be changed to your user name, and the text in <action> will appear as a system message. (example: "/me is thinking" would translate to "Joe is thinking") /part, /quit, /logout : Log out of chat. /invite <user> : Invites "user" to the room that you are currently in. (example: /invite Joe, /invite "Pac Ninja") /ignore <user> : Ignores "user" until /unignore "user" is issued. (example: /ignore Joe, /ignore "Pac Ninja") /?, /helpall : Displays a list of all commands available to you. /sos <message> : Alerts moderator in the current room. Message text is optional. /showignores : Shows who you are ignoring, and who is ignoring you. Note: Usernames with spaces in them must be inside quotes. |
