Netherrealm style is used by the demons and tormented souls that inhabit Hell. Believed to have been developed by Shinnok for the warriors in his army of darkness, it has savage and brutal techniques that require great discipline, focus and skill. Drahmin shows that accuracy and precision are needed to effectively use the style. Without his mask, he goes into an unfocused rage and is no longer able to master the Netherrealm fighting style.
