An Edenian race of half man-half horse warriors, which served under Shao Kahn when the realm merged with Outworld. They comprised the whole of Shao Kahn's extermination squads during his invasion of Earthrealm, and are the natural enemy of the Shokan race.

After the defeat of Shinnok, the Centaurs and the Shokan formed an uneasy truce, as seen in Kung Lao's Mortal Kombat Gold ending. However, in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, Motaro appears to only have two legs. It is revealed that it was due to a curse inflicted on the Centaurian race by the Shokan, turning them all into Minotaurs.
