The Living Trees are the source for the Living Forest's name, inhabiting this ancient forest for thousands of years. The first type of Living Tree appears as a simple tree with a face on its trunk. However, in Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks, another version was also added. This type of Living Tree also had arms formed from its branches that it could use to grab unwary passersby.
