Theme: Whispers in the Forest
NetherRealm Studios has sent over the official press release for Green Arrow, revealed yesterday as a playable character in the upcoming Injustice: Gods Among Us, due for release in April 2013.Along with the press release, NetherRealm also sent over an official, unwatermarked render, some new screenshots, and the official boxart for the basic version of the game. Judging by the boxart, it looks like The Joker and Green Lantern will indeed be in the game as playable characters!
UPDATE: NetherRealm Studios has released a new screenshot revealing what Green Lantern and The Joker will look like in-game, as well as a preview of an Arkham Asylum stage.

I wonder why The Joker is the only villain showing up in the box art and Green Arrow is laying there dead so what side is he on? It could be that he dies in the middle of the story mode and did anybody notices those "Greek" statues in the lower right corner. Is that hint about the location of a major battle? Is that Themyscira or could this be Krypton that wasn't destroyed? 
Lastly I wondering what will be Lex Luthor's role in this game, usually the box arts often show the threat of the game in it somewhere but I doubt that The Joker's going to be the biggest enemy in Injustice.

Since the roles are supposedly reversed in this game, can you imagine if the Joker was the hero of the story?

Considering he's an mass murdering psychotic evil piece of death worshipping garbage, I hope not. Hal's uniform looks a little strange;kudos on the dead looking green arrow. Interestingly Legacy's version of Kano appeared on Arrow.

Meh, I thought it was alright, it just seemed like Ryan Reynolds was playing Ryan Reynolds as a Green Lantern instead of Hal Jordan....still better than Steel, talk about a waste of a potentially good movie...
