Yes, yes, we all know the "HD" Arcade Kollection is no longer happening, but artist John Montenegro has posted some screenshots of what the game was going to look like via his official blog. According to John, the scope of the project changed during development.
These screenshots look amazing! It's unfortunate WB decided to go with straight ports of Mortal Kombat 1, 2, and 3 instead.

Their call,their loss.I was going to buy the Mortal Kombat HD Arcade Kollection whenever it was released,but i don't think i will buy just a straight port.Besides,i already own MK2 in PS3.Very bad choice from WB,very bad.

Same here. There's been so many ports over the years, this arcade kollection is very unnecessary. I hope WB takes a loss on it.

Agreed. The only reason I MIGHT consider buying this is for online play. This makes me so sad...

I am as well.. I haven't played MK1 in jeez.. probably close to 15 years? maybe even more. I already have MK2 for the PS3 but I'm excited to have it in the arcade collection solely because the ps3 version of MK2 is really really loud in the main menu for no good reason and as dumb as it sounds it has always annoyed me beyond belief.
MK3 is just the gravy on top

I'm glad I'm not the only one!
When I get it, I'm spending most of my time playing MK1/UMK3.
Not to fond of MK2. Feels to sluggish for my tastes, and the AI

Ill get it still only because of UMK3 online ive wanted that forever and I don't own an Xbox.
This is depressing though...I would have been more excited for this than anything in recent memory.
