As you may know, FDMK was the first and only mainstream Mortal Kombat website to have a mobile counterpart. Today, I am very proud to announce that the FDMK forums have been added as a new feature to FDMK Mobile. Currently, no other Mortal Kombat websites give their members this level of portable connectivity!
As with most mobile websites, things must be scaled down bit, and not every feature can be included due to technology limitations of today's modern cellphones. Here is a list of features available and some the things that have been removed.- First and foremost, you must be an existing member of FDMK to use the mobile forums. Mobile registration is not available at this time.
- Access to all forums and sub-forums based on your current permissions
- Once logged in, mobile theme will reflect the current theme you are using on the main FDMK website
- Retrieve your password if you've forgotten it
- Submit posts
- Edit your posts
- Quote other member posts
- Create and vote in polls
- Full BBcode functionality
- Smiley Functionality. However, you must manually type in the smiley code due to Javascript limitations.
- Full Private Messaging functionality
- Ability to edit your profile
- No avatar or signature functionality. Sorry, but too many images is not very efficient for mobile websites.
- View who is currently online
- View new posts since your last visit
- View member profiles
- No Flash functionality. Embedded Youtube videos will display link to video instead
- All posts submitted will be tagged with "<< Posted from FDMK Mobile >>" on the main forums
More features may be added in the future if there is enough demand. I hope people enjoy this new feature. I know I'm always on the go, and I love being able to check the forums when I'm not home.
